CAD Design & Revision Policy - FIORESE JEWELRY

CAD Design & Revision Policy

At Fiorese, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) renderings are used to help visualize and refine made-to-order and customized jewelry before production begins. CAD previews allow clients to review the overall structure, proportions, and design details of a piece prior to manufacturing.

1. CAD Preview & Confirmation

For many customized and made-to-order designs, a CAD rendering may be provided before production begins.

The CAD stage is intended to confirm key design elements such as:

  • Stone proportions and placement
  • Ring width and overall dimensions
  • Setting structure and design layout
  • General aesthetic balance of the piece

Production will begin only after CAD approval has been confirmed by the client.

2. Understanding CAD Renderings

CAD renderings are digital previews and should not be interpreted as exact photographs of the finished jewelry piece.

Certain handcrafted details may not appear fully or accurately during the CAD stage, including:

  • Pavé prongs and micro-setting details
  • Hand-applied textures or metal finishes
  • Matte or brushed finishes
  • Hand engraving or carved details
  • Final polishing and hand-finishing effects

As a result, the finished piece may display additional depth, texture, and craftsmanship not fully represented in the CAD renderings.

3. CAD Revisions

Modification requests may generally be made during the CAD review stage before production begins.

Adjustments such as:

  • Stone size
  • Band width
  • Proportions
  • Setting refinements
  • Minor structural modifications

can often be accommodated during this stage.

Depending on the complexity of the requested changes, additional production, CAD, or material fees may apply.

To help ensure an efficient design process, clients are strongly encouraged to review the CAD carefully and submit revision requests in a consolidated manner whenever possible.

Please note that repeated revision rounds, multiple separate modification requests, or significant redesign changes may result in additional CAD fees and extended production timelines.

Any additional costs or timeline adjustments will always be communicated and confirmed before proceeding.

4. Production After CAD Approval

Once CAD approval has been confirmed:

  • Production will begin based on the approved design
  • Further modifications may no longer be possible or may incur additional charges
  • Requests made after production begins may affect delivery timelines

For this reason, clients are encouraged to review CAD renderings carefully before providing final approval.

5. CAD Measurements & Final Jewelry

Measurements shown in CAD renderings are approximate digital values and may differ slightly from the finished jewelry after casting, polishing, stone setting, and hand-finishing.

Final metal weight may also vary slightly from CAD estimates due to the production and finishing process.

6. Design Ownership

All CAD renderings, technical drawings, and related design files created by Fiorese remain the intellectual property of Fiorese Jewelry unless otherwise agreed in writing.

CAD files are provided solely for design confirmation and production purposes and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for manufacturing by third parties without permission.

7. Order Cancellation After CAD Design

CAD design work involves design development, technical preparation, and production planning performed specifically for each order.

If a client chooses to cancel an order after the CAD design has been completed or delivered for review, a CAD and design service fee will apply depending on the stage and complexity of the project.

This fee may include costs associated with:

  • CAD design and revisions
  • Design consultation and technical development
  • Stone sourcing or material preparation already initiated for the order

For standard made-to-order projects, the applicable service fee will generally be deducted from the refund amount.

For highly customized designs, custom-cut gemstones, or projects involving extensive revision work, additional charges may apply depending on the amount of completed design and production preparation work.

Any applicable fees will be clearly communicated before cancellation is finalized.
